Following the first Sino-German Moulding & Machinery Industry Cooperation Conference which was held in Frankfurt , the 2008 Sino-German Moulding & Machinery Industry Cooperation Conference was successfully held in Börsensaal of IHK Cologne, Germany on 18 th Sep,2008.

The Conference was sponsored by Chang'an Government, planned and organised by Union Investment Consultancy in cooperation with Hardware-machinery Mould Association of Dongguan and German-Chinese Business Association (DCW) .

Twelve delegates from HMAD enterprise members of China , 100 entrepreneurs, professors and organizations from Europe and Germany attended the conference. They exchanged opportunities and explored industrial business through a face to face networking.

During the networking, Chang'an Government and European entrepreneurs were negotiating the projects in an extremely warm atmosphere. Bilateral entrepreneurs and organizations even found more business opportunities in the networking.

The success of The 2008 Sino-German Moulding & Machinery Industry Cooperation Conference, had further promoted the bilateral cooperation between China and Germany to reach a consensus. It is believed that, more and more bilateral trade and investment will reach great achievement through this Conference.

EU-CHINA MOULDING & MACHINERY INDUSTRY COOPERATION CONFERENCE

•The conference on EU-China Moulding & Machinery Industry Cooperation was a perfect complement for the 7th China-Chang'an International Exhibition and a prime opportunity for all those wishing to discover and explore industrial business between Europe and China .

It was organised by Union China Promotions in cooperation with Europe China Solutions, and counted with the support of the Economy & Trade Office of the People's Government of Chang'an and the sponsorship of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and the Hardware-Machinery Mould Association of Dongguan

The Lotus Villa Hotel, a luxurious 5 stars hotel at the heart of Chang'an town, was selected as a venue of the conference. Experts and authorities from different European countries such Germany , Spain , France , Sweden , Italy , the Netherlands … attended the acts.

This event, with its different activities and presentations, allowed networking in a relaxed though professional environment. During the presentations, executives from European and Chinese professional organisations, corporate decision-makers and other experts introduced and analysed the latest advances and future opportunities on the industry. During the following Networking event, many chances for business opportunities and new international contacts were given.

An important highlight of the conference was the signature of a declaration of intents by Dr. Bjorn Dietrich, representing the German organisation RWTH, and Mr. Chen Qiping, from the professional Chinese Association HMAD, aiming to the conjoint development of a service centre for the moulding industry in Chang'an. Colloquium on Sino-German Moulding & Machinery Industry Cooperation

• The Colloquium on Sino-German Moulding & Machinery Industry Cooperation, organised by Union China Promotions, counted with the support of the Economy & Trade Office of the People's Government of Chang'an and the sponsorship of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Frankfurt and the Hardware-Machinery Mould Association of Dongguan.

Held at the Maritim Hotel in Frankfurt (Germany) on Sep, 27, the the Colloquium hosted delegates from Germany and China Moulding and Machinery industry fields, providing a combination of first hand information of the market and cooperation opportunities involving the two countries.

In the following networking event, 11 delegates from Chinese industries based in Chang'an met more than 50 German representatives, including experts, organisations and enterpreneurs from the related industry. 2006 Commercial Dongguan International Forum
the second Europe-China (Dongguan) Trade and Investment Conference 2006

• Under the support of the municipal government of Dongguan, the Commercial Dongguan Development Forum Europe, organized by Union Investment Consultancy was held successfully in Sofitel Royal Lagoon Dongguan on Nov, 21st. The forum was sponsored by Europe-China Commercial Union (ECCU) and General Chamber of Commerce of Dongguan, co-sponsored by Dongguan Economic & Trade Bureau, Dongguan Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic cooperation and European Union Chamber of Commerce, and co-organized by Dongguan Retail Industry Association, Dongguan Logistics Association and Dongguan Convention & Exhibition Industry Association.

CEOs and top executives from the retail, logistics, convention & exhibition and business real estate industries representing six of the main economic member states attended the forum and were graciously hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of China. The relative principal from the Ministry of Commerce of China, Dongguan Foreign Trade & Economy Government Department and more than 300 top managers from Dongguan retail, logistics, convention& exhibition

real estate industries attended the forum, as well as Taiwanese and Foreign Investor Association. And there were several media attended, including Guangzhou Daily, Dongguan Daily, Southern Metropolis Daily, Southern Daily and Dongguan TV (DGRTV) etc reported on the discussions and outcomes of the forum.

This commercial forum helped the Dongguan Government to heavily promote the “Commercial Dongguan” project to its international visitors thus creating more investment opportunities and economic ties with international corporations and all commercial investment companies.
A cooperation conference was held with the European Real Estate Investment Group and other top 500 retail enterprises discussing many commercial investment projects such as the Taiwan Investor Assembly Hall Building, Saina Garden and the International Chamber of Commerce Building. Both sides said they would discuss at more length the cooperation opportunities well into the future.

• The year 2006 was China-Europe Science & Technology Year. The publication of China-Europe Joint Declaration on Science & Technology Cooperation in 2005 stated the leaders determination to strengthen cooperation in IT, Energy, Space and Biotechnology.

• Union invited Mr.Jacques Santer the former chairman of the EU committee and the former prime ministry of Luxemburg and the ECCU representatives to visit Dongguan for 3 days on the 30th anniversaries of establishing diplomatic relation between Europe and China. The vice secretary and the mayor LiuZhigeng welcome them at the administration centre, and introduced the developing status of the Gongguan’s economy to them. At the end, the mayor hoped it can increase the economy & trade relationship between Europe and more closely and attract more European guests to invest or visit in Dongguan. On 15th OCT, Europe-China (Dongguan) Trade and Investment Conference 2005 is held successfully by Union and the Dongguan municipal people’s government in Sheraton Hotel of Houjie town.

	• With the great support from the Dongguan municipal government，between other departments and enterprises, China Promo cooperated with Europe China Economy & Trade Review magazine to publish its first city promotion book of the series “China’s Most Charming Cities”： ‘Made in Dongguan—invest Dongguan guide” book.

	The publication empowers Dongguan’s international image as a booming economy, with developed manufacturing, attractive investment environment and successful government leading. This book was published entirely for the European market and dispatched 30000 copies in the first edition.

This publication represents an effective communication bridge between Dongguan and the rest of the world, supporting the city in its research for new capital investment, technology developments and talents.

After 25 years of reforms and opening policies, Dongguan has reached a great achievement in terms of economic development and social construction. In order to strengthen its competitive power and promote their development, the city is now paying more and more attention to advertise and build an “image”.
